9 favorites under $30!
Surprise! We have 9 of our best selling pieces available for $30 or less for a limited time! Starting top left, our Isabella Studs are a long time favorite from our permanent collection, they are .75" and make for the best statement stud! The bracelet version of our popular Full of Joy Necklace is the perfect addition to your bracelet stack. The brand new Salted Caramel and Mocha Hoops are a fun take on your classic tortoise shell hoop. We recently restocked the Tybee Island Bracelet Stack - I love the turquoise and pink together! The Isle of Palms Necklace is a great delicate gemstone layering piece. Did you know that the Breakfast at Tiffany's Earrings are actually two earrings in one?! You can take the center stone out and wear it as a stud on its own! The Amalfi Hoops are one of the original color ways we've had in our collection for a long time, just like the Aspen Brunch Hoops! The First Day of School Necklace was one of your favorites, so we had to have it in a bracelet version! And how cute are the earring version of the Scarlett Necklace?!
I had the best time in Aspen!
Like most of my travels, this was a super quick trip (not even 48 hours), and when you have a limited amount of time in one place, you fill it with as much as you can.
I met up with two of my close friends, Carrie and Tina. Carrie and Tina live in Newport Beach, California and a couple times a year, we’ll choose a fun place to meet up for a few days. We travel really well together and have visited some awesome places. Feel free to scroll back to our previous blog posts to read more about our travels. Tina loves researching places beforehand and usually creates a loose itinerary for us. Sometimes we follow it and sometimes we fly by the seat of our pants, but she always has the best restaurant recommendations. I also always ask my good friend, Mariel O’Brien, for her "must-see" places when we travel so between the two of them, we are good-to-go!
I arrived on a Tuesday and after a few work meetings (fingers crossed for some new updates soon on stores in Aspen carrying our jewelry line) I was ready for a late lunch. The girls weren’t arriving until later in the afternoon so I went to Meat & Cheese (ya’ll it was so yummy and the vibe was great), called my mom in Virginia, and she “joined” me for lunch via Facetime! Afterwards, I walked around Downtown Aspen, grabbed a Vanilla Iced Latte from Alpina (formerly Local Coffee), tried on some boots and Miron Crosby, scoped out some very cool hats at Kemo Sabe & Nick Fouquet, saw some gorgeous artwork & learned about some very cool makers at Pitkin Projects, and made a note to myself to go back to the Aspen Art Museum and have a cocktail on the top deck.
I received a call from the Hotel Jerome letting me know that our room was ready. After checking into the hotel (I’d definitely recommend the Hotel Jerome), the girls arrived and we had a (second) lunch at at The White House Tavern. We spent a few hours catching up over sandwiches and fries (when the three of us are together, conversation is always non-stop) and decided to explore a little more. We were all exhausted from a full day of travel, but got a second wind and pushed through for dinner at Betula! We had hopes of having an after-dinner cocktail at the hotel bar, J-Bar, but we crashed early and we all slept like rocks!
The next day, we went to Spring Cafe for breakfast & it was fabulous!! We fueled up for a long bike-ride to the the Maroon Bells! If you go to Aspen, rent E-bikes and do this. The Maroon Bells are two peaks in the Elk Mountains and truly one of the most gorgeous sites I have ever seen! Lunch Was at the Little Nell & we couldn’t narrow down dinner (too many good places to choose from) so we started at Clarks Oyster Bar and finished with Sushi at Matsuhisa. The next morning I woke up before the girls and walked through Downtown Aspen one more time before heading back to the airport. Early morning walks are always my favorite and I love how quiet and calm everything is in the early morning. It gives me time to really experience being there…looking in store windows, taking a moment to watch the sunrise over the mountains, breathing in mountain air and absorbing color patterns and textures that always give me inspiration to bring into our collection. From exploring cute coffee shops around town, to cruising through the mountains, and I am exhausted in the best way possible from all of the fun that we had!! I have a highlight on Instagram if you want to see more!
While I was in Aspen...
I launched some beautiful new pieces!! Starting with the Vanilla Iced Latte Necklace. It's no surprise that I love my dainty layering pieces, and the icy blue hues of this necklace remind me of winter, and my favorite pick me up when the seasons change ... an iced vanilla latte. It looks awesome paired with the Starbright and Wishful Thinking necklaces. In true Colorado form, we had to throw in the Fresh Powder Necklace, which is currently on the website for $44 (originally $88). If you've followed us for a while, you know that we offer a special launch price on all of our new pieces, so definitely grab this one while you can!! Remember the London Necklace? We launched the Glacier Lake Necklace which is a neutral version of the London! This is a great one for a gift because it's made of ice quartz stones and a really nice length. Looks great with v-necks and button downs too! All of these pieces pair with the Alpine Bohemia Earrings which are basically a mini version of our Fields of Gold Earrings. These new Oversized Hammered Hoops are SO lightweight and can go with literally anything, plus they are only $36 right now. I also spent some time in the studio creating some new bracelet bundles... the Charlottesville Bundle, Apres Ski Bundle, Breathe Easy Bundle and the Be Kind Bundle. You can check out the rest of our bracelets here! And if you missed it, our Evil Eye Turkish Towel Robe sold out in a flash, but we have them available for pre-order!
Plus we've also restocked...
The Puffy Heart Necklace in gold!! We know you've been waiting for this one and they are finally back! This is part of Annie's Collection and looks great paired with the Freshwater Pearl Ocean Necklace, Annie Necklace, and Seattle Skies Earrings. We've also restocked the Travel the World Necklace, Monet Necklace, Neve Necklace, Layers of Love Necklace, and Sugar Cookie Bracelets.
My friend Adoma came to visit!
Adoma is one of my closest friends from college. We met during our freshman year at UVA and became fast friends. We traveled to New York together, we had the same sense of humor, we spent countless hours in the art studio, and we just clicked instantly. Fast forward 20 years and today she is an award winning filmmaker, producer, and educator. She has been a professor at Harvard and Georgetown and you can take a look at her work HERE.
When she was home visiting her family in Ghana, she sent me two of these beautiful fans. She gifted them to me because the colors reminded her of my jewelry, and since she knew I was branching into lifestyle, she thought that I'd love these. She wasn't wrong! The moment I received the fans, I called her right away and asked if there was any possible way for me to share them with you all, and to my surprise, after she chatted with her family and friends, she was able to work with artisans in Africa to have them made for us. It was so great to see her, even if it was very quick!
