California

If you have followed me for any time at all you probably know my love of California knows no bounds. AND I love to take you along for the ride. Come along with me on my latest sourcing trip!

The first leg of my trip I stayed in Malibu at the Surfrider Malibu Hotel. I spent my morning walking around Malibu listening to the Big Little Lies soundtrack – cliché, I know, but I just couldn’t help myself!

The next day I spent the afternoon in Santa Monica and Downtown LA working with different vendors to design some awesome stuff for you! AND I finally got to see the casually luxe bag in person!

The gold is so pretty and each one is handmade by artisans in India. The bottoms is by favorite – it has a flat bucket bottom giving it shape and detail. Click here to shop.

That night I checked in to the Santa Monica Proper Hotel. I always splurge on a good hotel. I especially love smaller boutique hotels. I have been known to plan a trip around a hotel! I get inspiration from the toiletries, bar, artwork, service, linens, design, menus, and watching people in the lobby…everything.

The next day I went to Venice for lunch with a friend and strolled around the cutest boutiques – this is another way I get a ton of inspiration!

I headed to the beach on a bike ride, stumbles across the cutest farmers market and went to a sunset breathwork class on the beach which was incredible!

On my last morning I had to stop at a few of my new and old favorites. My hotel was across from @sidecardoughnuts and everyone was telling me about these doughnuts - they were incredible. Last stop before my flight was @thebutchersdaughter, I always go there when I’m in NYC and was so excited to see they have one in California too!

On the flight home I reflected on my trip. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again… I feel like we’ve built a little family here. You guys were the reason I was in California in the first place! I never want to stop bringing you cool things. I am so grateful that EMJ gives me the opportunity to travel to some of my favorite places.

Adventure Awaits-

Erin
