You guys LOVED the Ghanaian fans!
Friends…we were all totally in awe of the response from the fans!! All 150 fans sold-out almost instantly!! These fans are called Bolga Fans and are made in Bolgatanga, a small town in the northern region of Ghana. The fans are purely hand woven and made from straw called "Elephant Grass" with the designs taking inspiration from the fans once made for Ghanaian royalty. Inspired by the regal fans once used by Ghanaian queens, these striking pieces unite West African heritage with modern design. My dear friend Adoma came up with the brilliant idea to name each of them after historic princesses and queens in Africa, Europe, and all over the world. I've already been on the phone with Adoma and her village in Ghana is already in the process of weaving more for us!! They are so excited and grateful for each one of you! Every fan undergoes a detailed 8-step process that takes an entire day to complete. I'll keep you posted and keep an eye on your inbox - we will send an email when we restock!!
