A mini home tour and outfits I've been loving lately!

Mini Home "Tour"

Sometimes I will look back at my instagram stories archive and am able to see exactly what I was posting this time last year. The other morning I was curious to see what I had been posting last year, and it was a lot of the house building and different inspirational ideas. So I thought it would be fun to show you what it looks like now!

First up, the hallway... I love the whole gist of this hallway.

The main design element that I loved were the raw exposed beams with the white wood and the pendants hanging down. Here is our hallway.

You can see we did the same elements - exposed beams, white ceilings and pendants hanging down. We also added a cool thinner oushak rug too!

Last year I was also showing you paint swatches for our sitting area off of the living room! We ended up picking Hague Blue by Farrow and Ball.

This couch was covered in a cream fabric in our old house (it's from Room and Board) and we recovered it in a velvet to match the walls. Our 2 marble side tables are from CB2 - looks like it's sold-out but they have cool/funky tables. This is our coffee table. Carved giraffes are from my grandmother. She grew up in Morocco and we have a handful of pieces around our house from her - they are all from Morocco and Marrakech & there are stories about each piece. Bookshelf frames are from west elm.

Leather chairs: these were vintage lucite chairs covered in a fabric so we changed it to leather. @isabellastylenc helped with furniture/lighting rugs/etc & had that awesome idea. It's amazing how a piece of furniture can look totally different if you recover it! Blanket is from @__studiovirgo_ my friend started this cashmere company and the blankets are so dreamy!

And of course the room is filled with art from my favorite, sweet, talented friends @laurenbolshakovart and @kikislaughter

Outfit inspiration lately..

I've been wearing this sweater non-stop. I love the bright pop of color in the cold weather months. I love a pink sweater paired with shades of green like the Saturday Afternoon necklace.  This sweater would look so good paired with the San Francisco necklace.  And pair with these jeans from Mother Denim. I love the button-up high rise and frayed bottom. I bought them about 8 months ago and have worn them at least 100 times. The color goes with everything! They are on sale too. This sweater would look great with those grey jeans I just posted...I love a monochromatic look. And then wear a statement necklace like this.... And this new bracelet bundle! Also love the same sweater as the grey but in cream. This look would be so lovely with gold jewelry. Pair the cream sweater and pants with this magnetic cuff and necklace.

If you follow along on instagram you know I was on a mission to find a hot pink and red outfit like this inspiration photo I found of SJP.

I found these pants from athleta and I'm obsessed! They are so comfy but look like real trousers! I paired it with this hot pink sweater from Zara and have already repeated this outfit a few times!!

What I packed for the Mountains

I know I post them almost every blog post, but these have become my tried and true all time favorite jeans. This basic white t-shirt is a great base layer. I brought my solstice necklace to wear with the white tee I posted! Love this necklace for traveling because it looks like three separate necklaces, but it's just one! I also love the triple layer everything for layering! I also brought this $25 top from target. It's an elevated casual look & pairs great with jewelry, and I have it in almost every color! I like to pair it with the heart toggle necklace and the olivia necklace too.

When I'm doing a weekend trip, I usually bring 3 pairs of shoes…one pair of sneakers that look cute with jeans but also double as a "workout" shoe if I want to go for a walk or to the gym. These were the ones I brought. These are the socks I wear under most of my sneakers. I like that you don't see them too when you wear sneakers. I also bring a pair of boots that I can wear with jeans or dresses. My favorite pair are from Rag and Bone (bought them years ago and they don't make them anymore ) but here are some cute Rag and Bone ones.

These were the boots I brought with me from Zara. I ordered them a few weeks ago and they are really comfortable! They are like a stretchy fabric and just slide on..no zippers. I also like that they are right around my calf so I can wear pants over them and you can see the line of the top of the boot (does that make sense?!) And then I'll bring a pair of comfy slippers with me. I like a hard sole so I can wear them around a hotel or grabbing coffee. These uggs are fail-proof & I've had them for years.

And I'll try to bring one super cozy oversized sweater that I can pair with jeans and boots and dress up or that I can put on with sweatpants and it's still cozy. I love all the the sweaters from Jenni Kayne. They are an investment but I have a couple and they last for years and years! I love pairing these cozy sweater with these bangles, The Montecito bundle and The White Sands bundle too!

It's a mountain trip so I always think of packing warm things...I've posted this set before. It's like an elevated pair of pj's. And…I'll wear the top with jeans or the bottom with a t-shirt. But if you really want to treat yourself to the softest pj's... these are my favorite!!

I brought this jacket to the mountains too. This was the one from Amazon that went viral years ago. It is amazing. So warm and love the pockets. It was perfect when we went to NYC because the pockets zip (internal pockets too) - I put my important thinks in the pockets on the inside of the coat while walking around NYC & didn't bring a purse or bag. I love it so much I bought one for Georgia and Coco for Christmas (Gwynnie gets the hand-me-downs!! ) Comes in sizes 4T-12 years old for kids - tons of colors.

I also brought 2 pairs of earrings - these bamboo hoops are perfect for everyday casual!! And I brought these for a more "dressy" look!

And don't forget, if you like to shop on LTK you can find me here!
