Shooting Stars Finishing cleaning all the dishes at night so you wake up to a clean kitchen. Old class photos from Elementary School. Easter egg hunts The last bite of the ice cream cone when the inside of the cone is a little soggy with ice cream. Remembering sitting in the back seat of the car with my sister and getting so excited when we'd go through a car wash. A pen with a strong spring so it makes really good "click" sounds. Looking through old photo albums of my parents and seeing the little black corners around each photo....

Rainboots in puddles. Walking off an airplane to someone you love. Slipping into those worn-in sweatpants after wearing a skirt all day. That one song you haven't heard in years. Lofts. Jumping off a rope swing into the lake for the first time of the summer. The one pair of jeans that will never let you down. Falling asleep with your windows open and listening to a rainstorm. Finally finding out the right words to a song. Peeling off a price sticker perfectly.

St. James stripes. Traveling with my family  in our  old  blue volvo station wagon. The secret garden in Central Park. The  bright colors on a spinnaker sail. Extra maraschino cherries in a shirley temple. Stacked firewood on a cold winter night. Picking out colored embroidery thread for friendship bracelets when I was young. Brown paper packages tied up with string. Crocheted doilies. Leather camera bags.

Creasing the final fold on an origami crane. Watching drops of water move on a glass window of a car when it's raining... i love to watch each raindrop hit the glass window and quickly gather speed to run into another splatter of  water on the window.  The two raindrops run into each other and pick up speed until they reach the next drop on the window...I always try to follow the first drop and see how far it will travel on the window. Old copper pots of various sizes hanging from the ceiling in a kitchen. Bright rainbow sprinkles...
